Lettings Index Rises
The Lettings Index from Countrywide Estate Agents shows that more than 340,000 new tenants signed up to let a property in 2012 compared with 275,000 in 2011. This rising demand for rental properties coupled with more readily available, and more competitively priced mortgages is creating a good opportunity for investor landlords to expand their portfolios as renting for longer becomes the norm. High property prices and high mortgage deposit requirements mean that people are having to rent while they save for a deposit. Source: Arla For further information, please click here.
